The best driving schools in America's busiest cities
We started with the three states with the most new drivers: California, Texas and Florida. For each city we picked five schools from public reviews, years in business and state licensing, and we link every fact to its source.

How we pick
We look at what anyone can check: star ratings and how many reviews a school has on Google and Yelp, how long it has been teaching, and whether it holds a license from the state where one is required. Nobody pays to be in our top five, and we don't take ads into account.
Ratings change every day, so each page says when we checked. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.

Sponsored driving schools
Sponsored spots are paid ads. They don't change our picks. How ads work
