Terms of Service
Our full Terms of Service are being reviewed by a lawyer and will be posted here. Until then, this is what schools agree to when they sign up.
Summary, not the final terms
Version draft-2026-10-08. We will ask you to accept the reviewed terms when they are ready.
For driving schools
- Only issue certificates for training that really happened. You are responsible for the hours, dates and student details on every certificate your account issues, including by your staff.
- You hold the right licenses. Your school and instructors are licensed where your state requires it, and you tell us if a license lapses.
- You have permission to share student details with us so we can make, store and verify certificates.
- RoadVerified certificates are your school's own records. They don't replace a form your state requires, and they must never look state-issued: no state seals and no MVC, DMV or other government logos.
- Locked business details. Your school's name, owner, license number and address lock once you start issuing. They change only through “Amend business information”, with proof and a $5 review fee. Certificates you already issued keep the details they were issued with.
- Students 13 and older only.
- We can suspend accounts that issue false certificates, and revoke the check mark of a school that no longer qualifies.
- Plans renew automatically monthly or yearly until you cancel. We email you before every yearly renewal with the date and price. Each school license gets 5 free certificates to try RoadVerified. Certificates you issued stay checkable after you leave.
For insurance companies
Insurer portal access requires a signed data access agreement covering permitted use, no resale, logging and security. Request access.
