Real schools. Real certificates. Safer roads.
Driving is serious. RoadVerified brings technology to stop fake driving schools and fake certificates, so the families who trust you and the insurers who reward you can tell a real school from a copy in seconds.
For schools, verification is free and your first 5 certificates are free. No card needed.
The problem we are here to fix
Fake schools
Anyone can put up a website with a real school's name. Families can't tell who is licensed and who isn't.
Fake certificates
With AI, a perfect-looking certificate takes a minute. Students who never drove a lesson get the same discount as yours.
Honest schools pay for it
Every fake makes insurers and parents trust real certificates less, including the ones you worked hard for.
For parents: how to know a school is real
Look for the check mark
A school with the RoadVerified check mark sent us its state license and the owner's ID, and our team checked them and called the school back.
Tap the seal on their website
A real seal opens the school's verified listing on RoadVerified. If tapping it goes nowhere, or the listing says something else, don't trust it.
Scan the certificate
When your teen finishes, scan the QR code on the certificate. You see our record of the lessons and can send it to your insurance agent from there.
How we verify a driving school
Four checks, done by our system and by a person on our team. No school gets the check mark without all four.
We match your license to the state
Your license number has to be on your state's official list of licensed schools, under your school's name. One license can belong to only one account.
You send your documents
Upload your driving school license and the owner's photo ID. A person on our team reviews them. The ID is deleted as soon as we approve you.
We call you back
We call the phone number your state or your public listing has on file, not the number typed on the form. A copycat can't answer your phone.
You get the check mark
Your listing and your certificates show the verified check mark. Your name, license and address lock, and changing them later takes documents and a review.
Your school gets its own ID
The moment you sign up, RoadVerified writes a unique ID for your school and stores it in our database. It is yours alone, it never changes, and it sits next to your license number on your verified listing.
Copycats get caught
- When a new account shows up using the same name as a school we already know, under a different license, our system flags it for our team before anyone can verify it.
- A license number can be claimed by only one school.
- Certificates that pass our check can only come from your verified account. A fake with your name on it fails.

How our code works
Every certificate from a verified school goes through these four steps. The paper is only a pointer; the truth lives in our database.
- K7QM-3XTP
A code is created
A verified school issues a certificate. Our server gives it a random code that has never been used.
It syncs to our database
The record, a fingerprint of the exact PDF and a sealed entry in the public ledger are saved together.
Someone scans it
A parent or an insurance agent scans the QR code or types the code on our check page.
- ✓ValidExactly the file we issued
It is checked
The check page shows our record and the school's check mark. If the paper says anything different, it is fake.
Certificates nobody can fake
A code and QR on every certificate
Scanning it opens your school's own record on our site. If the paper says anything different, the paper is fake.
A fingerprint of the exact file
We keep a fingerprint of the one PDF you issued. Change one letter and the check says the file was changed.
A seal only our server can make
Each certificate's seal is computed from its own contents with a secret key, so it can't be copied onto another one.
A public ledger
Every certificate goes into an append-only record where each entry locks in the one before it. Nobody can backdate one, including us.
A website seal that can't be faked
Verified schools get a seal to put on their own website. It isn't a picture you save once: it loads live from RoadVerified every time the page opens, and tapping it opens the school's verified listing on our site.
If a school ever stops being verified, its seal changes on its own. A seal copied onto another website still opens the real school's listing, so one tap shows whose seal it really is.
Security you can check
Student data encrypted
Student emails, birth dates and addresses are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they reach the database, with the key kept apart from it. Permit numbers are kept as the last 4 characters only.
Accounts locked down
Passwords are checked against leaked-password lists. Owners and insurers confirm new devices with a code sent by email, and logins and checks are rate limited.
Nothing changes quietly
School actions and insurer lookups go into logs that block edits and deletions, and the public ledger is re-checked every night.
Fair to schools and to students
Honest reviews
Students sign in with their email before they review, so a review comes from a real person. Readers can report a review that breaks the rules.
Disputes, handled by people
If a review is fake or from someone who was never your student, you dispute it and our team decides by the rules, then emails you the answer. Students can reach us too.
Students find you safely
Students find your verified listing, ask for their certificate right from it, and you get the request right away.
Find a driving school
7,695 licensed driving schools across the country, from official state lists where states publish them. Verified schools show first.

Questions
How much does it cost?
Getting verified is free and is separate from any plan. Your first 5 certificates are free, and plans start at $12 a month. Schools that claim their listing in our directory get 20 certificates free.
Can I issue certificates before I am verified?
Yes. You can issue right away. The QR code and check code switch on once you are verified, and you can send students an updated copy with one tap.
What is my RoadVerified ID?
A code like RV-4F7A-C29E that belongs only to your school. It is made the moment you sign up, kept in our database, and shown on your verified listing. It never changes, even if your school name does.
What if someone signs up with my school's name?
Our system flags any new account that uses the same name as a school we already know under a different license. Our team sees that flag before anyone can be verified, and only your verified account can issue certificates that pass the check.
Can I remove a bad review?
You can't delete reviews, and neither can we just because they are negative. If a review breaks our rules, for example it is fake or from someone who was never your student, tap Dispute. Our team checks it and emails you what we decided.
